Hello, and thanks for visiting my website. I am an Assistant Professor-in-Residence in the Department of Political Science and International Studies at Bradley University. I received my PhD in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in August 2019. My research interests focus on ethnic and distributive politics with a particular emphasis on the post-Soviet states. Employing both qualitative and quantitative methods, I analyze the path-dependent effects of Soviet formal and informal institutions and practices. I am committed to fieldwork as a foundational element of my research process, and have spent considerable time in Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and Ukraine.
